Near-new 250 t cable carousel designed by Layback / BEIN Engineering and
built 2023. Approx. 100 operating hours on power cable projects. Bolted
modular design that packs into two 20 ft open-top containers for quick
mobilisation on vessels, barges and quaysides.
- Cable capacity: 250 t
- Coil diameter: inner Ø5.0 m / outer Ø10.0 m; turntable Ø11.16 m
- Height approx. 3.6 m; total weight approx. 19.5 t
- Drive: 2 x 7.5 kW electric drive units, rack-and-pinion, Yaskawa VFDs
- Max rotation speed 0.85 rpm (cable speed approx. 13–27 m/min)
- Redundancy: can run on a single drive unit
- IP56 control cabinet, handheld remote and emergency stop (25 m cables)
- Power: 400 V 50 Hz / 440 V 60 Hz
